Founded in 2000, Promise Land Community Development Corporation (PLCDC) was established with a bold vision: to revitalize troubled neighborhoods and uplift the families who call them home. For over two decades, Promise Land has worked at the grassroots level — building stronger communities by focusing on the areas that matter most: housing, economic empowerment, disaster resilience, and civic leadership. Initially serving Richmond County, Promise Land spent nearly seven years directly addressing the needs of low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. Through programs promoting homeownership, rehabilitating single- and multi-family homes, and nurturing local leadership, PLCDC helped renew pride, restore confidence, and spark reinvestment within the community. Today, Promise Land is a recognized leader in community revitalization, proudly certified as a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency and a State-Certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO).
